Download and install the app
Begin by downloading the participant app from Google Play Store.
App sign up
Create your account using your email and password. This enables access to the features of the app.
Grant Android Permissions
The app requests notifications and usage statistics permissions.
Messenger sign up
Follow on-screen app instructions to sign up in Facebook Messenger with the same email as before.
Initial App Configuration
Battery Saver Exemption
Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Your app → Battery saver → No restrictions
Lock in Recents (Xiaomi)
Start your app, open the Recent Apps view (square button), and swipe down (or tap the lock icon depending on MIUI version) to lock it. This prevents it from being killed when clearing recents
